Dr. Lester F. Ayars
Since 1968, the Island Christian Church, under the faithful leadership of Pastor Ayars has experienced significant growth of congregation, staff and facilities. Insightful, applicable Bible teaching and sensitivity to God's guidance characterize the ministry of Dr. Ayars.
Rev. Michael O'Connor
Senior Associate Pastor, Mike O'Connor, has been serving at ICC since 1983. Effective as both an administrator and teacher, he oversees the church's many ministries, including its small groups. Teaching, discipleship and counseling are all included in his ministry. Pastor Mike and his wife Mary have four grown children.
Rev. Peter Jansson
A new work in Port Jefferson has been given to NBC in the form of a 150 yr. old church. Pete is the Campus Pastor, bringing 23 years of church experience and counseling to the village campus. This satellite ministry has the DNA of ICC, Northport, with a unique small town feel. "I look forward to seeing how God is going to use the church to bring Godly influence to this quaint port village." His time will be shared by ICC, Northport and ICC, Port Jefferson, primarily working with troubled teens, pre-marital counseling, dealing with family issues, and administrating the launch team in Port Jefferson.
Rev. Paul Sandberg
Paul, the Associate Pastor of Missions, joined our church staff in 1994. Leading our missions and some specialized ministries, he is involved in the oversight of small group life and also uses his technical training to minister.
Rev. Andrew Laub
Associate Pastor of Administration, Andy is involved in teaching, office administration and the church's financial management. He has been on staff since 1992.
Rev. Lee Hamblen
As Associate Pastor for Children's Ministries, Lee has been on staff since 1993. He teaches classes, oversees adult fellowship and small groups, supervises the Sunday School and other ministries to children.
Rev. Seth Kirschner
Joining our staff in 1998, Seth serves as the Senior High Youth Pastor. Overseeing the 9th through 12th graders, his main joy and passion is communicating the truth of God's Word.
Rev. Bob Snider
Pastor Bob joined the staff at Northport in 2002 and is the Campus Pastor of our church campus ICC, Holtsville. After a career in Computer Engineering having started two successful businesses, Bob received a call into the Ministry.
Bob and his wife Ann have lived on Long Island their whole lives and have four kids. He loves to see people connect with God, apply His Word in their lives and live for and worship Him.
Rev. Steve Bayne
Special Support Ministries Pastor Steve has been leading our recovery ministries since before he came on staff in 2002 and preaches in our Deaf Chapel on Sunday mornings. He oversees recovery groups, DivorceCare, GriefShare, military support and our new adult singles ministry.
Pastor Joseph Garofalo
Joe joined the staff in January 2008. In his role as outreach pastor, he is responsible for community outreach for the church, including overall marketing and in helping visitors get acquainted and plugged in to the church.
Because of his business background, Joe also serves as director of workplace ministry, which is a resource to business people in helping them achieve a stronger sense of purpose and balance in their work and lives overall, while encouraging the highest standard of excellence. Joe sees a strong connection with the work he does at the church and his involvement with the business community.
Pastor Daniel Stevanus
Dan joined us in June of 2009. He graduated from Columbia International University in South Carolina with a BA in Bible and Pastoral Ministries. Before college, Dan grew up overseas in Italy where his parents have been missionaries since he was two years old. He works at ICC, Northport as our Middle School Youth Pastor as well as our Collge Group Pastor. He has a passion for God's people and seeing them grow in their relationship with him through relevant and effective communication of God's holy Word.
