Friendship Unlimited (Outreach to the Disabled)

FRIENDSHIP UNLIMITED MINISTRIES

A ministry for, to and by the Able-Disabled

"the joy of the Lord is your strength."

- Nehemiah 8:10

ICC@work

Of Jesus' 132 public appearances recorded in the Gospels, 122 of them occurred in the marketplace. In fact, 45 out of the 52-recorded parables of Jesus had a workplace context. Not to mention the fact that He called the Twelve from the workplace, not the clergy.

While He did some preaching in the synagogues and other gathering places, most of His outreach was where people worked - in the market places and in the every day routine of life.

The Workplace Outreach of ICC seeks to just that - to meet people in the midst of their every day lives - including and especially at work.  The average person spends up to 50-70% of their waking times at work.  While many people view their jobs as a drudgery, others pour their whole identities into "what they do" verses "who they are".  In other words, work is their life.

Counseling

* Healing hearts
* Restoring relationships
* Liberating lives

Our purpose is to help restore and sustain spiritual, mental, emotional and physical wholeness in the lives of people in the name of Christ. We seek to coach others toward more satisfying and productive lives in the context of their walk with Christ, their family, church, community and workplace. This mission is accomplished in a Christ-centered environment that is confidential and respectful.

Adult Singles Ministry

Looking for a time of fellowship with other Christian singles?  Come join us at the Singles Cafe on the second Saturday of every month for a safe and friendly evening of live worship, a word from Pastor Steve and, of course, great coffee and treats.  We meet at 7PM in the Fellowship Hall.  Special appetizers and desserts are served.  There is no charge but a love offering will be taken.

American Sign Language Classes

This class is a great opportunity for adults, teens, and children to learn American Sign Language together in a fun and interactive environment, through games, Bible stories and songs. Basic sign language, history and Deaf culture will be taught. You will also have experience learning to communicate with members of our deaf congregation.  The class will be held on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 am starting on February 11th and will continue through May 12th.  Sign up online here
